fail-safe knitting

i know knitting patterns can be completely non understandable at times...or even all the time. 

so...

i was so happy when i came across nikki gabriels knitting construction kits, they look pretty fail-safe to me

"a manual on how to knit basic shapes, and construct multiple garments by assemblage"

oh, i really like the bolero, ... perhaps a fail-safe knitting project for me this autumn...? 

what could possibly go wrong?
